Why we made this site
We love the ritual of a real sauna outdoors: finding a place, setting up a tent, getting the stove going, and sharing the heat with friends. After years of working with tent saunas, we wanted one place to put what we have learned and keep learning.
We are building this journal to share practical guides, field notes, equipment tests and stories from the road. We also want to learn from other people: the floors they build, the ways they set up camp, and the little ideas that make a session better. If you have a setup worth showing, we would love to feature it as the community collection grows.
How we cover gear
We test for ourselves and describe what we actually observed, including drawbacks. We do not accept paid reviews, paid rankings, or advertising.
